Today, a combination of health, financial and social issues determines whether or not seniors reach there common goal of remaining vibrant and independent for as long as possible. Getting older should be a time to be savored, not to be feared.

JOHN C. POTTER CSA,
Since
1986 I have been involved in all aspects of the Insurance industry. In 2004, I took that experience and earned my CSA Certified Senior Advisor designation to focus on and help clients moving into retirement or currently in retirement.

CSA – CERTIFIED SENIOR ADVISOR, I have completed a course that includes 23 areas effecting seniors – areas that include nutrition, senior housing, social security, Medicare and Medicaid, Financial and estate planning, social aspects of aging, trends effecting seniors and more.

PART D – PRESCRIPTION DRUG PROGRAM - Part D is an option not a requirement. It is a program designed to assist in the cost of covered prescription medications. The best plan for you is based on your current medications, dosages, and quantity.

MED SUPP (MEDI-GAP) – MEDICARE SUPPLEMENTAL INSURANCE - Whether you are brand new to Medicare Part A and Part B or have years of experience, together these two parts cover a lot of your care needs, But they do not cover everything. Many people purchase Medi-gap policies because they fill in many (but not all) of the gaps in Medicare Part A and Part B.

LTC - LONG TERM CARE - A variety of services that can help people with health or personal needs and activities of daily living over a period of time, Long-term care can be provided at home, in the community, or in various types of facilities, including nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Most Long-term care is custodial care. Medicare doesn’t pay for this type of care if this is the only kind of care you need.
